Profession: Lead Pastor of Frontline Bible Church in Byron Center, MI.
Why I serve on the GGF NC: I have chosen to serve on the GGF National Council because I believe we as churches are stronger together than apart. Our understanding of and emphasis on the Grace of God has come to mean so much to me through the years as a pastor of a GGF affiliated church, and I want to be part of leading our movement toward greater health and impact. Our best days as a movement don’t have to be behind us.
Hobbies: Some of my hobbies include making straight lines with my lawnmower in my yard, finding golf balls in the woods while hunting for my own, and doing home and vehicle maintenance IF the weather is nice. I also love visiting old towns, museums, and mom-and-pop restaurants with my family.
My favorite verse: Proverbs 16:9—“A man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” So many times I’ve thought my plans for life were for my best, but God had other better ones. The challenge I have is to trust Him in the moment BEFORE I see why His are better.
Bio: I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Melinda, since 1998 and have 2 children still living with us at home; Jared and Mallory.
