Name: Cynthia Shyne
Profession: Adjunct Instructor at Baker College of Muskegon and Grace Bible College.
Church: Beacon Light Community Church – Muskegon, MI
Why I serve on the GGF NC: I am serving on the GGF National Council because I believe I can contribute creative ideas to embrace more genres of people, not only culturally but also for people who are marginalized in our world. The world’s shifting values are opportunities for Christians to demonstrate the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
Hobbies: I loves music, flower gardening, reading, jewelry making, and traveling. My greatest joys are spending time with my husband of 40 years, John, my five children, and my four grandchildren.
Short Bio: While not working on her Doctorate at Walden University, Cynthia serves as a Deacon and Director of Education at Beacon Light Community Church, also a part of Hands Held High Liturgical Praise Dance team and work with the choir. She Retired from Michigan Department of Corrections in Probation, Parole, and Correction Center Manager.
Favorite verse: One Scripture that I have clung to over the years is Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
