Frosty Hansen began his ministry as president of the Grace Gospel Fellowship in August of 2004, after nearly 12 years of missionary service under Grace Ministries International in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

Born Traynor Hansen Jr., Frosty hails from the Pacific Northwest where he grew up under the strong Bible-teaching ministry of the Berean Bible Church in Seattle, Washington (now Shoreline). A 1973 graduate of Grace Bible College , Frosty took a year off between his sophomore and junior years of college to serve with Arnie and Sally Selfors as a short-term missionary to Bolivia under what was then Bethesda Mission.

Frosty's wife, Cathy, was the mother of two young daughters when a tragic accident took the life of her first husband in January of 1977. She and Frosty met the following year, and were married on March 3, 1979.

Prior to their time on the mission field, Frosty pastored two churches in the States and served on the GMI Board of Directors. He frostlyhead.jpgand Cathy visited the Bolivian field in January of 1992, at which time the Lord touched their hearts with the role they could play in this important ministry. Frosty resigned as pastor of Bethesda Church in Minneapolis , and the family moved to Bolivia in January of 1993.

While in Bolivia Frosty and Cathy worked closely with Bolivian leadership in our nationally ran organization, Misión Evangélica Bethesda (MEB), to help reestablish a leadership training program with the goal of strengthening the ministries of the local church. They also worked closely with pastoral couples through a nurturing and discipleship ministry, including a monthly Bible study designed to ground these leaders in their understanding of the grace message.

The Hansens have four adult children. Jennifer, their oldest daughter, and her husband Johannes Aubrecht, are living in Buffalo, NY. They are the proud parents of a son, Johannes II. Danielle and her husband Peter Dykhuis live in Grandville, MI, are members of Grace Bible Fellowship in Jenison. They are also the parents of Frosty and Cathy's three other grandchildren, Pieter, Aubrey and Micah. Traynor and his wife Tricia attend Berean Bible Church in Shoreline, WA and are involved in the Young Adult Ministries. Gary, the youngest of the Hansens' children, graduated with a ThB degree in May 2005 from Grace Bible College . In June 2006, Gary married Rachel Ockwell. They reside at GBC where Gary is the Resident Director of the men's dorm at GBC. Gary is also pursuing his masters degree.
